Looking for funding for my future career

I am basically at a bit of a crossroads and looking at changing careers. I currently work in an office but one of my friends suggested i may want to look at taking up teaching. To be honest i had never considered this as an option but the more i thought about it the more appealing it sounded. The problem ive got really is money! im trying to find out about a grant for future teachers or more specifically grants for future math teachers as this is what i want to be. Looking around at various student loans and stuff is making my head hurt, i would have thought with adverts on tv where they are encouraging people to look at a career in teaching there would be freely available help but i have found this not to be the case. It seems that unless i am under or on some kind of benefits i am not able to get a grant as i work and earn money! this seems crazy to me that i am not able to get any financial help as i am working but will have to leave work to commit to the training and studying needed to become a teacher. I’m still going to try my hardest to get into this field as i think it will be extremely rewarding for me but i just wish there was a bit more help available for people like me as i know im going to struggle if i have to take a part time job to try and fund myself. Good luck to anyone else out there who is looking at this as a change of career i think it can be very rewarding it just getting there that’s the hard part.
